I figured out how to get in and update my blog again, but the computer I'm using for the time being is slooow and stubborn about letting me. I have only earned $66 for February, but no matter what it'll be at least $240 with my current bmr client. I'll wait to see if it comes out to more than that. Potentially, my earnings could be $700 - $800 this month. I would love for it to make it there or higher, but either I type very slowly or I am not nearly as organized as I'd like to be. It's frustrating. I think it's a little bit of both, unfortunately:(.

I have not been able to update my blog as much lately, mostly because my computer has been acting up. I'll have to update the totals for January, not that they are super impressive or anything.

I have been doing less article work lately and more BMR work. For those who don't know, BMR is Build My Rank. These little article posts run about 150 words in length and the help search engines to bring people's web pages higher in searches. I usually enjoy the work, so I have been looking at doing more of it. But the work is VERY time consuming, which is partially why no one wants to do it. I've received a few offers for it, in fact enough that I lose track of who has asked what and offered what.

December 23, 2011 I can't believe there's only 2 days left until Christmas - time flies! Work-wise I have a client I started work for a week and a half ago who pays me to write BMR (Build My Rank)articles for him. I love this work. The first job I did like that I enjoyed, but the lady scammed me as I mentioned on an earlier post. He's already paid me for some of the work. He's working on getting me another client with the same kind of work after Christmas. December 09, 2011

Looking at the Paypal transfers I have done over the past month and a half or so I must have somehow earned about $142 from the end of Oct to the middle of November. That was a very slow time and I was working more with Textbroker to fill in the gaps from clients and overall slow work. We'll see what December brings.

Wow! I don't even know how almost two months have gone by without adding something here. I know I picked up a job doing BMR (build my rank) articles work, and really enjoyed it. So did the other ladies who did the work along side me. Too bad the person giving us the work never had any intention of paying us. That took me out more than $200. One of the mom's lost at least a few hundred dollars over it. Scammer's suck!!! So, I can only count a client I get occasional work from where I earned a whole whopping $24-30. Feeling well-off now lol. He's wonderful to work with, though. I wish he had more work.

Textbroker doesn't have much work on a steady basis, so I'm happy I'm getting more clients. I have one that doesn't pay great, but could pay worse. I just got the client this last week. I'm waiting to find out a good paying one is going to add me as one of their writers.

I have been writing for Textbroker lately and have managed to snag a few articles from Writer Access too. Writer Access doesn't pay too badly and I got on the love list of my first client. That's kinda nice. I am also starting work with another client that pays by the hour, but it's very flexible. You don't have to stick with certain hours. So, hopefully it will work. It'll be interesting to post this months totals.

I have been with Texbroker for a while but haven't done much work with them. They have changed things a bit to include group orders and a couple of other additions. I added to my profile and applied to be part of a group order. It'll be interesting to see what comes of that.

September is the first month I finally earned a little and thought it was going to accumulate to something promising. Now I'm not so sure. I had a client in Belgium who started giving me work and then just stopped. It's very frustrating. I kind of miss content mills and I hate saying that.

Sent my first invoice for the batch of articles I completed over the weekend. Waiting for payment and a new batch. Sent in a sample to yet another possible client I hadn't even mentioned. I'm waiting to find out my status on that job. I almost lose track of how many writing jobs I've applied to there have been so many lol. It will be exiting to put in new totals at the end of this month after having no reason to do it since the beginning of summer. I'm almost anxious to see those totals!:)

My earnings have just been sad lately to say the least. They were sad before, more of a little spending money. Break is done. I've been working on picking up private writing clients. I picked one up over the last week and a half. Sent in my first batch of writing assignments. Now I'm just going to hang in there and see how it goes. I'm waiting on 2 other possible private clients. I think one may be where the hurricane weather has hit - so that's going to be a few days. The other one I'm becoming dubious about. Still, it's good to have a good 3 writing jobs so that there is always a constant, steady stream of work.

These last few summer months have not been nice to me at all. Break Studios drastically slowed down and let writers go as I mentioned. I've been applying for other writing jobs like crazy and sent in samples and my resume. I'm getting a lot more nervous about sending in samples, though.

Recently, I've written a couple of samples. For one company I think they are in the recently hit hurricane areas so I'm giving the guy time to respond. He has a good feedback rating where I found his ad post for work. The other one I'm getting very weary about. I haven't heard from him/her at all. She/he promised either compensation towards a product if I get a no, or pay for my sample if she/he likes my work. I don't hugely mind samples if there is good communication and you don't feel like you've just been scammed into doing free work. I get very tired of this. Trust is a two-way street. I always offer a link to the writing work I've done before. I don't work for free.

As I heavily suspected, a very small turn out for this month. I am looking for ad posting and copy paste work. I want to take a break from article writing unless it's subjects that come easy to me and the guidelines don't change without the pay increasing. I've done ad posting before and earned really well compared to some of the rates I've seen. I'd like to get the same kind of work with the same pay. I miss it:(.

This is going to be the lowest earning month I've had in all time for a couple of reasons. My computer got a virus that stopped me from being able to get online temporarily. So I could barely work. I'm on a temporary computer for now. Personal things in life also made it very difficult to work. Between the two, I have to make up for it. I think I'm lucky I even made over $100 this month. Break Studios is changing their writing style and letting people go. I just happened to be one of the first. Ehow is of course a thing of the past. So I got the final offer for all the articles I had with them, and the wcp is done for:(. This is why you are supposed to keep multiple writing gigs going - when one stops you have others to fall back on. I did get my Google account going again and mysteriously a little money appeared in my bank account. I plan to do tons of Youtube videos, add to my blogs, at a bunch of articles to Bukisa, Firehow, and Triond and maybe one other. I'm going to pray about it.

I'm tempted to take the Cash Crate thing off of here. I still don't do much with them. I like copy/paste work and short article work.

I was grabbing articles left and right at BS since Contently has been very slow for me lately. In fact I haven't done any work for Contently in about a month. I still earned my 2nd highest in all this time since I have been tracking my earnings so it's cool for me. I am always on the lookout for more and better paying online work.

I was on a roll at the beginning of this month really thinking I was going to pull in at least $300 or more. I had a good first week and the second week looked like it would keep up with the first. Then one of my writing jobs temporarily changed the writing format and I had a more difficult time adjusting to it. And of course didn't take as much work because of that. Well, hopefully, I will still make it to the $300 mark. February is a short month so have to keep that in mind too.

As good as it is to have at least hit the $200+ mark for this January, I really wanted to hit $300. But one of my writing gigs were slow for a couple of days, and the other one just didn't have anything I could really write about for a couple of days. I'm sure I would have at least been on the high end of $200 otherwise. I'd like to get even with my last April's total and surpass it - and then some.

My possible total is not even close to where I would like it to be. I was hoping for $200. But I hope I can work with the new egg and make my totals combined higher. Hopefully $200+ as I learn to work with it and grab work at the right time.

December 21, 2010 MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I think I would love to get even with last April, rather than getting $100 to almost $200 each month. Next Level Content is out, but I just got another egg and I've earned a little from it already. That will be added to December's total. I would love to finally hit $300.

I need to cut myself a little bit of slack since my internet connection was not working for about a week. That is a week of work that I missed out on grabbing. Which means my total would have definitely been higher.

I was looking so forward to working with NLC (Next Level Content)and that gig just recently came to a crying not gonna pan out halt. The lady who was going to hire me and a number of other wahm people on a forum called www.wahm.com let us believe for the last 6 months or so that we would get to start writing for decent pay and then suddenly dropped the whole thing. Needless to say many of us were very disappointed. I know will get something else. I'm just going to be very careful and not overly trusting. I still like Break Studios.

Well, $190 is better than the $84 I earned last month. I was able to grab a lot more articles from Break so that would be why my earnings went back to the near $200 bracket. It's still way off of where I would like to be though. I am still waiting for NLC to process paperwork and hope that things will work out with this company. Can't wait to put the first months earnings added with NLC.

Break Studios has been a main source if income and they just haven't had much I could write about. I have a new gig that is starting in October and I am super anxious to start it.

A new month! I was hoping my total wouldn't be so low for the month of July, but I'm not surprised. I haven't done the Livework .32 answers. So the $123 is just ehow and Break. I am starting a new "egg" this month. I couldn't find many topics I could write about for Break, so that is another reason I just couldn't earn as much. The new egg should have a lot of subjects I can write about. I am really looking forward to it. I'm also trying to find freelance art work. That actually seems to be harder.

I go to the wahm.com forum A LOT and lately I've been asked a bit more about how to get babies and toddlers into modeling. A number of years ago I got my daughter into modeling, but nothing really came of it. She wasn't really into it as she got a little older. But I learned quite a bit while I tried to get her into the modeling thing.

Baby/Child Modeling

I never paid ANYTHING. My daughter was about 3 at the time, so it was just me taking the photos. The agency I had my daughter with said to take clear, close-up photos of your child. Take a whole role to make sure you can pick about 3-4 really good ones. Make it fun for your child though. Make sure your child is clean, and in solid colors-no prints or logos. Get a stat sheet from the agency or take a piece of typing paper and put your child's name, the date, hair color, eye color, weight, and so on. You'll need to attach the photos to the paper and make about 9 laser copies. You then send those to the agency and they in turn will send them out as companies call them for talent. They then earn money if your child gets work.

Children 5 and up:

Once your child is 5 (I think it's 5, it may be a little older) you are encourage to get the professional head shots. I don't recall it being expected. And the agency either gives you the name of someone who helps you with it or you could trade this service with someone on craigslist and get professional type photos for free. I didn't do it. I would do the craigslist photo trade thing, but I would ask a lot of questions and expect to see a website proving the person is not a weirdo or a scam artist.

This is very light information that I hope if helpful to someone looking to get their young child into baby modeling or child modeling. Be very wary of any agency on the web. There shouldn't be any insurance fee-that is a scam.

Another things to try is looking under the talent section of craigslist. There are usually posts for all kinds of work. A lot of it is for teens and older, but sometimes there is work for younger kids too. It depends on where you live. And again, you have to be careful about getting work on craigslist too. Follow your gut instinct.

One more thing, ethnicity gets the upper hand. If your child is a mixed race, Chinese, or not caucasian your child is more apt to get model work.

I applied for a couple of blogging jobs over the last week through craigslist, and one was very close to coming through. The guy was just waiting for the go ahead from me and I was holding out with more questions. I haven't heard from him regarding my last two questions. I don't like that and I am not sure what to make of it. In the mean time I signed up with Constant Content. I have heard about the website, but I'm not too familiar with it. They pay you for your articles if they want to use them. They also have a referral code that you can give fellow writers to sign up under you. They pay something like $15 - $20 an article. SO, it's more monetarily worth it. For me that is going to depend on the word count. It looks like if you are an artist or photographer, you can post your work on their site for sale too. If someone really likes anyone's writing, art or photography they can contact you for more permanent work. That's kind of cool. It looks like you can write about quite a variety of things - so I like that.

I am kind of liking Firehow. I have taken some of my non-earner articles from ehow and put them on Firehow, and in just a few hours they are already earning! I admit that it is only a few cents per article, but that is just a few hours. It'll be cool to see where those articles are in even a week from now. How they are earning at Firehow but never earned anything at ehow is just...perplexing. My articles are not the first I have heard this happening to.

Quite a few dramatic changes have happened over the last month, so I am impressed that I've kept up with this. I'm steadily writing for Break Studios, and I was one of the automatically accepted writers for Demand Studios. I'm extremely nervous to write for them, but who know how that will go. I was putting high income amounts at first because of a situation in my personal life that is slowly starting to change for the better. To make my goal less stressful for me and my easily distracted and forgetful personality, $300 is a good next goal. I actually passed $200 last month when I include ehow earnings. So $300 should be realistic if I'm able to really focus on my work.

I have now written 6 articles for Break Studios that are waiting for payment. I just submitted two more in the last 12 hours and I'm hoping to do another 2 before the night is over. I need to look more closely at their website to see when they pay.

Recruiting just added me as one of their writers. So I'll write articles for them, and I do the craigslist ad posts.
I had to more articles approved with Break Studios, so that is cool. And Textbroker took a few more articles. It'll be interesting to see what $$ amount I get up to this month.

I'm not relying on Livework the way I was before, thank goodness. I found another gig that is very similar to Demand Studios. It is called Break Studio. You earn $8 and article, but that is for 250 words or more if you choose, up to 700. I believe Demand pays about $15 an article. I never heard back from them one way or the other. Break Studios just started out, which I like. So they are new and I know a lot of the subjects they need to have written about. I am also writing for Textbroker. It doesn't pay nearly as well as Break Studio, but it's something else to add. Livework is just going to be an extra.

After a stall with Livework yesterday and likely for the rest of the week, I decided to get another steady egg or two. I knew Livework wasn't something to to rely on 100% but kept ignoring that. So I am starting a new project that should more than make up for that. Hopefully, that work starts today or tomorrow.

I am probably just going to keep it to just these 3 eggs. The Livework one alone should earn roughly $900-$1100 a month and $1200 is what I need. So I think I will get there with extra hard work and the time management we all struggle to find. Drawback is Livework is not all permanent. But I have ideas to work around that.
Jan 2010: As I recently learned, Livework isn't 100% dependable. So I got another writing egg which should be very consistent.

I made payout with Cashcrate in November, but didn't get paid yet. I just sent them an email to find out about that.

I think I love Livework right now. I got paid my $46-which I thought was supposed to be $56. But I think I missed 2 of the 8 steps when I billed for payment. Maybe I will have that added this month. Deanna sort of gave me a second chance on that so we'll see. Otherwise I have about $20 or so, plus another $28 on it's way. I know this has potential to be at least $100 a week. But in my current household I can't work on the computer the way I wish I could. I'd earn so much more if I could dedicate a good 2-2 1/2 block of near uninterrupted work. Very soon I'm going to set it up that way so it's when my toddler isn't awake. Time is all wfhm(work from home mom) or wfhp in general biggest problem-managing it. I also saw $0.84 answers on Livework and I'm considering taking that on. I see potential for $980-$1300 with the one or both combined with better time management.

November 22,2009 UPDATE: As my earning bar above shows, I have earned $10.50 and have $45.75 in pending earnings. Paid offers seem to earn more but you really have to keep an eye on when to cancel and what passwords and what not or you can get stuck going beyond the trial. You want to earn money, not get stuck paying. I wish I could cancel clixsense and bring the referrals I got there over to cashcrate. Layers in the back or not...

I know I still want to grow my hair out to at least thigh length, but I am trying to know for sure what to do as far as layers. I think I am leaning towards going all one length in the back and have a little layering in the front around my face for framing and softening. How to style your hair while waiting for it to grow really long

When you are starting out from near scratch, growing out your hair seems like it will take forever. It definitely depends on your goal length as to how long it will take. But there are many cute ways to wear it while you wait.

At a couple inches from your scalp, a skinny, decorative headband or rhinestone barrette will look sharp. This short length will go quickly. When you are at chin length you can do a half pig tail, two pig tails, a barrette pulling the front bang section back, or use claw clips and barrettes or hair pins to pull sections of hair a certain way. You may be able to get away with twisting pieces of hair and pinning them, or using claw clips and leaving wispy pieces to fall free-very pretty.

Between shoulder and chin length, your options open some more. At this stage you need to start figuring out if you want all one length, side bangs, full front bangs, or light bangs. That is entirely up to you. Hair can be pulled back into a low or mid-way ponytail with side bangs or side tendrils left to fall to the side. Twists and little buns are definitely possible at this stage and look great. A messy bun, two side pig tails, two side braids, french braids and so on.

Shoulder length to bra strap length gives unlimited styling options. Some girls/women may even have bra strap length as a goal. All of the styles mentioned above and curls done with cotton-type rollers are now stylish options. Your hair can now hold a full inverted or French braid, a single braid, those sexy tousled messy buns with the side tendrils, flowing curls, and so many other styles.

If you are going for waist, tailbone, or even longer, all of these options are still open. You may have to adjust them a bit for the extra length. But you'll have fun with it. Decide if you want layers or not, since that will make a difference with some of these hair styles. Try cornrows, multiply side braids joined into a half ponytail or full ponytail or full half up braid.

Try to avoid coloring your hair with harsh chemicals since it is damaging and takes away the natural shine of hair. Enjoy your hair at every goal length it reaches. Don't be afraid to try a new style, there are many out there. Have fun with it and try to be patient as it grows.
